Welcome to Rotten Reads! I review horror and dark romance books with a focus on the extreme, the taboo, and the twisted. If your book is bloody, bold, and pushes boundaries, I just might love it.

What I Review

I’m currently accepting horror and dark romance titles. I’m especially interested in:

• Extreme horror
• Splatterpunk
• Psychological and supernatural horror
• Possessive, morally gray, or villainous love interests
• Books with graphic content, adult themes, or unconventional storytelling

I do not review:

• Cozy romance or traditional romance
• YA or middle grade books
• Religious fiction
• Nonfiction (unless horror-related)

Formats I Accept

I accept:

• Physical copies (preferred)
• Digital copies (MOBI, ePub, or PDF)

Please note that sending a book does not guarantee a review.

Turnaround Time

I do my best to review in a timely manner, but I run this blog solo. If your book is time-sensitive (e.g., part of a blog tour or has a release date), please mention it in your request and I’ll let you know if I can meet your deadline.

Honesty & Transparency

All reviews reflect my honest opinion. That means some books may receive critical feedback—especially if the content doesn’t align with my tastes or expectations. I always aim to be fair and respectful, even when I don’t love a book.
